REFUGEE RESCUE

REFUGEE RESCUE is a voluntary Search and Rescue crew based in Belfast, UK. Refugee Rescue was initiated in 2015 by civilians as a humanitarian response to the thousands of refugees drowning in the short stretch of water between Turkey and Greece. His skilled crew and rescue boat have helped thousands persons in Lesvos (Greece) and saved many lives at sea, with active 24/7 missions to prevent anymore deaths at sea. In early 2016, Refugee Rescue launched the rescue lifeboat “Mo Chara” (Gaelic for ‘My friend’) with skilled SAR crew. Refugee Rescue is active only with individual donations and civil support- direct action works.
